Define every copper endpoint and high-speed optical module for Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX

Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX, part number 942170010, is the Hirschmann BRS50-8TX/4SFP configuration described in the captured manufacturer record. Eight local copper links and four 2.5G-capable SFP positions suit compact mixed-media cabinets. The strongest specification separates switch identity, optical module choice and far-end compatibility.

Keep the complete code attached to every project record

Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX is the complete configuration reference for catalog Type BRS50-8TX/4SFP and part number 942170010. Keep all three identifiers together in the inquiry, quotation, delivery inspection, equipment register and configuration archive. A shortened family description can support discovery, but it cannot prove the same enclosure, power, media or software selection.

• Match every code character against the offered label.
• Record the part number beside the installed location.
• Keep the approved software and port evidence with the same equipment record.

Keep optical modules outside the switch assumption

The SFP positions on Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX are listed for 100/1000/2500 Mbit/s, but an empty slot does not define wavelength, connector, fiber type, reach or far-end compatibility. Specify the transceiver at both ends and assess the installed optical path. Keep switch and SFP modules as separate purchasing lines.

During commissioning, record module reference, destination, rate and normal indication for every optical link. This lets service teams distinguish a module, fiber, peer or configuration issue. Store the schedule with Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX and part number 942170010.

Draw local and infrastructure links before wiring

Draw every local link and upstream path before assigning ports on Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX. Mark network zones, powered endpoints where applicable, optical destinations and any path used by a recovery protocol. The drawing gives installers a cable-label plan and gives purchasing a basis for checking the requested interface mix.

1. List the endpoints and far-end equipment.
2. Assign media and intended interface.
3. Define the management and redundancy path.
4. Test application communication and record the final topology.

Create a normal-state baseline during acceptance

Commissioning should create normal evidence for Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX: link state, negotiated rate, duplex, VLAN role, peer identity, PoE status where applicable and expected redundancy condition. Logs, SNMP data, mirroring and cable diagnostics are more useful when compared with a known-good baseline.

When a fault occurs, preserve evidence before changing settings. Compare the affected path with the port schedule, inspect cable or SFP components and review the far end. Keep findings tied to Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX and part number 942170010 so replacement does not hide the original cause.

A replacement comparison starts with installed evidence

A replacement request for Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX should include the installed label, current port map, supply arrangement, enclosure conditions, fitted SFP list and saved configuration as applicable. Compare these records with catalog Type BRS50-8TX/4SFP and part number 942170010.

If an alternative is proposed, document every difference affecting fit, power, media, approvals, required software functions or commissioning. Keeping that comparison with the Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX maintenance record turns future repeat orders into traceable decisions.

Information that belongs in the quotation request

Send Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX, catalog Type BRS50-8TX/4SFP, part number 942170010, quantity and delivery destination in the inquiry. Include SFP references, fiber type, connector, far-end interface and quantities. State operating environment, endpoint power, management, security and redundancy requirements where they affect acceptance. List accessories separately.

Ask the supplier to show the exact offered code and applicable document revision for Hirschmann BRS50-00122Q2Q-STCY99HHSESXX.X.XX. For replacement work, attach the installed label and summarize functions that must be retained. This is easier to compare than a generic request for an industrial Ethernet switch.
